Looks sick raw like that!
What did you use to remove the paint on the frame? Overcleaner, paint stripper, sandblaster? How did it go?

I'm not talking about removing the bar. just grinding the square brake boss in the center of the bar to be rounded and to be flush with the bar. so it looks like a bare with a hole in it.

You could easily take a grinder or dremel and make that brake boss flush with the tube. Is that a scrambler btw?

longer than needed, they were anodized and I wasn't aware that oven cleaner will take the anodized off. Soo I had to sand them down and bring the smoothness back up then polish them.

All of these hubs do that. I have an 07 sx trail with the same broken hub.So did my friends. Specialized knew what bike the hub came from when we called them. They were like: is it off an sx trail? Uh yeah...

Not quite, Demension (formula) flip flopers. Sealed and very smooth!! Plus they're about a pair for what a front phil hub cost.
